My name is Nelson Fernandez Jr. I’m serving as on the pastoral team at the Miami Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church. Miami Temple is a multilingual, multiethnic, and multicultural church network of about 800 members in South Florida. I am married to the love of my life, Sarah and together we have a beautiful son, Isaac. Born and raised in Miami, FL, I’m Dominican-Salvadorian and married to an American-Venezuelan (in other words, we’re two mutts).
Why I do this
I’ve recently realized that one of my biggest fears is not making an impact on the world in some way before I die. I’ve also come to accept the fact that I love to write. Maybe one of the best ways to leave an impact is to get your thoughts out to as many people as possible in the hopes that, one day, I may impact someone’s life positively with something that I’ve written or said. Therefore, I’ve decided to take my blogging to the next level and create this site to chronicle my journey of faith and ministry with the world.
What I can do for you
I love researching and sharing topics that have to do with cultural relevance, leadership, ministry training and transformational discipleship. Although there will most likely be times when I break out of the box with something different, being an Adventist pastor, much of what I say will be written from the context which I find myself in. If you are looking for a steady stream of random and relevant information about anything ranging from church leadership to video games, subscribe!
